I don't think there has ever been a time in my life where I had to put this much faith into the Lord to accomplish something that seems so impossible.

Asking me to raise $18,000 in just four months with benchmarks to meet (which the first one is $5,000 by May 15th if you are interested in hitting that donation button today!), is pretty high up there on the list of most craziest tasks in my life.

I must admit I do feel rather behind. I was the last spot accepted in my route, which mean all my other squad mates have been accepted and fundraising for quite some time now. Although I don't get that luxury of time, I know God is on my side.

I have never felt so confident before in something I have not yet achieved. I know that if this is God's calling for me, all I have to do is keep the faith and keep doing my part. He is the one that will gently tug on the hearts of others to give in each person's own capacity.

In this fundraising campaign I've decided to embrace this as an opportunity to get to know my community better. I don't want to be the person that asks for a donation and then you never hear from them again. I want to know the passion and drive behind the people, companies and churches that support me.

Asking for funds is a task of humility. I hope God can grant me the humility needed to humbly ask my community for the support I need on this journey. If there has ever been a time in my life to have blind faith, it is now.

What I have learned over the years is that it's always God's money. All the money in my bank account does not belong to me, but to the One that has granted me the ability to have a job to make money. It's our job to make sure that money is being used to glorify God. He is favorable to those who give without the expectation of receiving, whether it's your money, your time or your talent.

I pray that God can humble me so that I may give selflessly without the expectation of receiving. And I also pray that I may continue to lead my fundraising in blind faith, knowing that He makes all things work together for my good.
